There are various comment types which can be entered into a form: attribute comments, workflow comments and system messages. All of these are stored in the Comment section and are not part of the form, i.e. they will not be downloaded to SpecPDM and they will remain on the Portal.

If you wish to download these comments to SpecPDM, enable Generate comments PDF. When you accept the form, then a second PDF document, containing the comments, is generated together with the specification and is stored in the Definition section. When the specification is downloaded to SpecPDM, this PDF will be downloaded along with all the other attached documents.
