The main window contains icons with the following program functions. Their availability depends on which module is currently opened.

Reporting: Create and print a report (via SQL reporting). For more information see chapter Reporting. |

PDF: Export to PDF. |
|
Excel: Export data to a MS Excel sheet. Creating an Excel export always means a potential risk to the company because the file can be stolen. For this reason, SpecPDM creates a server log with all exports for tracking purposes. |

Refresh: Reload the current data from the database. |
|
Save: Save the entered/modified data in the database. |
|
Cancel: Cancel unsaved changes. |
In case you are not to logged in to SpecPDM, or when you select the Log off tab, a different set of icons appear.

Log in/off: Log into the application/log off the application. |
|
Change password: Please see General information/Entering the program for more information. |
|
Exit: Close SpecPDM. |
