<< Click to Display Table of Contents >> Navigation: The Portal from the Vendor's Perspective > Filling a Form > The Ingredient Section > Maintaining Ingredients |
To insert an ingredient, click on the blue Add ingredient text.
A pop-up window opens. Enter the term you want to search for into the search field and press Enter. You can also enter only a part of the term you are searching for. As a result, you will see all the ingredient names containing the search term.
Note: The issuer of the form can disable selection of ingredients that are inactivated in the SpecPDM administration. In case you had added an ingredient and it was later deactivated, the ingredient will become highlighted and you will not be able to release the form. In this case replace or remove the inactive ingredient.
There are two types of entries:
From business partner: These entries mostly contain trade names/ingredients your business partner uses internally and has made available to you.
From built-in multilingual glossary: This database contains more than 60,000 terms. These terms can be determined by the globe icon in front of the term.
If you find the term you are looking for, select it by clicking on it. Do not forget that the results may cover more pages.
Use this procedure to add all ingredients. Use the selection lists to provide the quantity and other information your business partner requires.
If the ingredient name comes from the lexicon, a globe icon will appear in front of it. When you click on the icon, a pop-up window with all the available translations of the ingredient appears.
Do not forget to save your data. To cancel the operation, click on Cancel.
An alternative way to enter ingredients in a pop up
If preferred, a user may view or edit the ingredient in a pop-up. Hover the mouse over the ingredient name, and the expand icon should appear. Click on the icon to open the pop-up. If the user is in the edit mode, then editing the ingredient fields is possible in the pop-up. This approach may be preferred to editing the ingredient in a single line and horizontally scroll on the page to access the most right columns.
