Basic Recipe Functions

Main Window Overview

1)Recipe: The number, variant number, release version, and name of the recipe that is currently loaded in the Recipes module.

Number: The Master number and variant name of the recipe that are currently loaded in the Recipes module.

Mode: The recipe edit mode used for calculations. This can be associated with particular product structure or can be selected when creating a new recipe.

Rounding: Specifies the rounding blocks associated with the recipe (eg. standard vs. commercial, etc.).

2)Functions:

REPORTING1

Print: Print reports via SQL reporting tool.

EXCEL1

Excel: Export data into Excel. To enable the dialog, set the needed permissions in Administration → Access level/Operating elements/Administration/Check boxes/Suggest excel save. Creating an Excel export always means a potential risk to the company because the file can be stolen. For this reason SpecPDM creates a server log with all exports for tracking purposes.

REFRESH1

Refresh: Reload data object.

SAVE1

Save: Save data object.

CANCEL1

Cancel: Cancel action.

CHANGEPASSWORD1

Change Password: Change your user PDM password.

LOGOUT1

Log Out: Exit the PDM program.

MINIMIZE1

Minimize: Minimize the window screen.

CLOSE1

Close: Exit the PDM program without logging out.

Module toolbar.

The general Master data toolbar contains the following features:

MAGNIFYING GLASS SELECT

Opens the Master data Search dialog.

MD NAVIGATE

Navigates to the previous/next Master data object that has been opened. The small drop down arrows open a list of recently opened objects that precede/succeed the currently opened one.

REC GEN

Generate: Update a recipe (following the components changes).

REC TARGETING

Targeting: Works for standard 100% targeting as well as for dosage targeting.

CONTROL1

Control options. A special program parameter that checks if all recipe components are released before the whole recipe can be released is available. For more information about recipe versions, please see chapter Recipe → Functions & Processes → Generate Recipes.

HISTORY1

History of changes.

MD PROJECT

Project: View the projects associated with this recipe or choose to add a new related project.

REC SHELF LIFE

Shelf Life: View the shelf life of the recipe.

REC PL SHEET

PL Sheet: View or assign manufacturing instructions for the recipe production. For instructions on how to use this feature, refer to chapter Recipe → Functions & Processes → Production specification.

REC LIKE

Rating (like): Rate the recipe with comment.

REC DISLIKE

Dislike: Dislike the recipe.

REC RATINGS

History of ratings: See all previous ratings of the recipe.

REC PROTECT

Recipe is protected / unprotected.

REC LANGUAGE

Language Selection: Click on the language button to display the drop-down list that switches the language of the data objects used in this dialog. This change does not affect the user language (interface) which can be changed via Administration → General → User Settings → User → field Interface language.

The taskbar may vary slightly across the individual Recipe tabs depending on the unique functions that are specific to them. More can be found in their specific chapters.
