3.4.0

Version 3.4.0

Released November 27, 2020

NEW FEATURES

+ Improved ingredients search

The ingredients search now also supports approximate matches. In case you make a typo or use only an incomplete ingredient name, you will still get the best matches in the search results.

+ Highlighting of comparison results

When comparing two versions of the same form, differences in text fields (i.e. Description, Comment, Comment2, Comment3, Comment4, and Finding) are highlighted. Added text is underlined and highlighted in green; removed text is strucktrough and highlighted in red.

+ E-number, additive class and allergens defined per ingredient in the SpecPDM are automatically reflected in the Supplier's Guide (customization)

In SpecPDM, there is the possibility to maintain E-number, additive classes, and allergens per ingredient. When any of these ingredient parameters is changed, these changes are automatically uploaded to the Supplier's Guide. The supplier then uses these fields as follows: E-number is read-only, allergens are preselected but can be changed, and the selection of additive classes is limited to the classes defined in SpecPDM for each ingredient. The function requires updating the Supplier's Guide and SpecPDM to version 11.4.2.6. or higher.

+ Master Form editor: Select SpecPDM criterion type

When using criteria from SpecPDM, their type (e.g. Vitamins, Minerals, Attributes) can be specified. This is needed e.g. when the criterion is used in a different section in a SpecPDM Master data object than in the Supplier's Guide form. For customers using SpecPDM, the feature can be enabled only after updating the interface on the client's server.

+ Possibility to display date in 4 main timezones

In sections Inbox and Forms, every column that contains a date comes with a clock icon Clock. Upon placing the mouse pointer on this icon, the date in 4 main timezones displays in the appropriate format. Supplier's Guide uses the same date format as your web browser.

+ Automatic notifications about expired documents and specifications

The Notification sub-section of Settings newly contains options to set up automatic email notifications for the issuer and suppliers about expiring documents and specifications. The notifications can be sent both prior to the expiration (the number of days can be specified) and on the expiration date. This feature requires on-demand activation by the SpecPage team.

+ Automatic acceptance

Documents (certificates) present in the form have a certain expiration date. You can specify a period (in days) before the expiration date when the specification needs to be accepted manually. All specifications containing documents with an expiration date outside of this period are accepted automatically. E.g. the automatic acceptance is set to 365 days; one specification contains a certificate that expires in 200 days - this specification needs to be accepted manually, another one contains a certificate that expires in 400 days - this one will be accepted automatically. This feature requires on-demand activation by the SpecPage team.

+ Creation of a new version of a form after document expiration

When a document (certificate) expires, suppliers creating a new version of the form that contains it can select whether they want to update just the document or edit the entire specification. If they decide to update just the documents, the specification will remain eligible for automatic acceptance. If they decide to edit the entire specification, it has to be accepted manually. This feature requires on-demand activation by the SpecPage team.

+ Select versions for comparison

Formerly, the comparison function compared only the latest version to the preceding one. It is now possible to select any versions of the specification for comparison.

+ Processing status "Canceled" has been changed to "On hold"

The reason for changing the status name is that this status applies to more situations than just withdrawing a form. Issuers can also decide not to send the form out when forwarding and in this case, the former name "Canceled" would be inaccurate.

+ The "All mandatory fields have been filled in" pop-up message has been removed

The goal is to get as much information as possible and this pop-up encouraged suppliers to return specifications earlier than expected. Even after all the red indicators of mandatory fields disappear, the user may continue to fill in and finalize the specification.
